Howdy stranger, my name is Timo Häkkinen, but you can call me Hobo. I think “Drummer, web developer, hobo, entrepreneur & music lover from Jyväskylä, Finland” sums up rather nicely what I do. I’m straight edge, I like to read and my favorite movies are probably something I could watch with my mom (maybe yours too?). I can’t often remember how old I am, so I doubt it matters to you either.
I am working on a bucket list and will post it soon. I have too many profiles around the web, but perhaps the most important ones would be my Twitter which ranges from ranty to almost hilarious and yes, at least for now, I’m still on Facebook. Maybe you like LinkedIn too? I’ve slowly began posting photos on Flickr and while I still have a Youtube channel I might give up on that for Vimeo.
This blog
We all die one day and I have decided to leave my mark. Through things I’ve accomplished, things I’m proud of, but also by sharing my wisdom, views and rants. I feel the knowledge, passion and thoughts I have will help others, just as I’ve gained insight to programming, learned exercises and discovered new bands online. I want to give something back.
I get my own drumming better when I try to teach it to others. I write better code when I have to explain to someone else what I’m going to do and why. And I feel more passionate about my own life, plans and goals when I talk about them with my friends. I believe you should only do things you really enjoy. Life is too short to live on someone else’s terms. I want see where I can take mine.
